Winter FunDay: Snow Sculpting Fun, Prince Arthur’s Landing
Join Willow Springs to create some cool snow sculptures, or head indoors to the Baggage Building Arts Centre to do some Special Olympic sports icon etching in clay, plus charcoal sketching. 2-4pm, free.

Lumberjack Jamboree, Vickers Heights Community Centre
At this annual event, kick things off with a pancake breakfast ($5, starting at 10am) followed by a variety of fun outdoor activities at 12:30. 10am-3pm, free.

Kingfisher Open House, Kingfisher Lake Outdoor Education Centre
Celebrate 50 years of fun outdoor ed with Kingfisher—try snowshoeing and cross-country skiing (equipment provided), explore the facilities and enjoy hot chocolate and hot dogs by the campfire. 10am-4pm, free. On-site parking is very limited and the free shuttle buses are recommended.

Winter Carnival, North McIntyre Rec Centre
Friday is Family Fun Night, with a movie indoors and skating outdoors (doors open at 5:30pm, movie starts at 6pm, admission $3 including pizza and hot chocolate). Saturday outdoor and indoor events start at 11am and the kitchen will be open for food sales.

Voyageur Winter Carnival, Fort William Historical Park
New events include a Zorb Ball track, human bowling alleys and ice dragon boats, plus popular favourites like tubing hills, skating, wagon rides and live indoor and outdoor entertainment. 11am-5pm, admission required.
