Hello Thunder Bay! April brings movies, hockey, art, the circus and Easter events, all great for kids and families. Check out what’s going on in Thunder Bay this month. And if we spot any more Easter 2019 events in Thunder Bay, we’ll be sure to share them with you.

April 5

Spring Family Skate, Fort William Gardens

Skate, play games, get your face painted and enter to win prizes at this last family skate of the season. 7-9pm, $3 admission.

23rd Annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Moose Hall

Hang out with the Easter Bunny and enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, taters, juice, coffee and tea. 9am-1pm, tickets required.

National Canadian Film Day, Paramount Theatre

Celebrate Canadian film with the kids. Two in the lineup are family-friendly: at 3:55pm, watch the animated film La guerre des tuques (Snowtime!). At 5:30pm, You Are Here: A Come From Away Story tells the story of Gander, Newfoundland on 9/11. Free.

Easter Festival & Egg Hunt, Gammondale Farm

Bring your Easter basket and hunt for eggs at Gammondale at this annual event. Other activities include an Easter slingshot, visiting the farm animals, egg decorating, face painting, a bake sale and draft horse rides. 11am-3pm, admission required and some activities have an extra fee.

Hoppy Easter, Sleeping Giant Brewing Co.

At this all-ages event, the Easter Bunny comes to visit, plus you can take part in an egg hunt, craft and activities. Choose from two sessions, from 12:30- 2pm and 2:30-4pm. Tickets required.

The TELUS Cup, Fort William Gardens

Hey hockey fans—you can’t miss this National Midget Hockey Championship, featuring 19 games over seven days and plenty of next-level talent. Tickets required.

April 26-28

The Great Benjamins Circus, CLE

The circus is in town! Check out acrobats, stunt riders, clowns and more at seven shows over three days. Admission required.

Dare to Dream Day, St. Patrick's High School Auditorium

Dress up as your favourite character and come to support a fundraiser variety show including gymnastics, cheerleading, dancing, theatre and magic. There are take-home loot bags too. Tickets required, 1-3:30pm, doors open at 12:30.
